Wolverines Fall at Indiana Tech in WHAC Road Matchup
The University of Michigan-Dearborn women’s basketball team faced a tough road test Saturday afternoon, as the Wolverines were unable to slow Indiana Tech’s fast start in a 91–32 setback in WHAC action at Schaefer Center.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team dropped a 91–32 decision at Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon in WHAC action.
Indiana Tech (7-3, 5-1) seized control early, jumping out to a 23–8 first-quarter lead and extending the margin to 49–15 by halftime. The Warriors maintained their momentum in the second half, outscoring the Wolverines in each quarter.
Michigan-Dearborn (3-10, 1-2) shot 25.5 percent from the field and struggled from long range, finishing 1-for-15 from three-point territory. The Wolverines were also forced into 18 turnovers.
Bailey Stimac led Michigan-Dearborn with six points and three steals, while Tamia Tounsel pulled down a team-high nine rebounds. Indiana Tech was paced by Taylor Covington's game-high 25 points as four Warriors scored in double figures.
