David Dell Earns Second WHAC Defensive Player of the Week Honor
David Dell has been named WHAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
DEARBORN, Mich. – Michigan-Dearborn defenseman David Dell has been named the WHAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday. The junior blueliner continues to be a driving force on both ends of the ice for the Wolverines, delivering another standout weekend to help UM-Dearborn secure a pair of wins over UM-Flint.
Dell put together a dominant two-game stretch, recording one goal and three assists to pace the Wolverines' transition game and spark the offense. His ability to jump into the rush while still anchoring the defensive unit has been a consistent difference-maker, and his production this week pushed him further ahead as the team's leading defenseman in both goals and assists this season.
This marks the second WHAC weekly award for Dell in 2025–26, underscoring his emergence as one of the conference's most reliable and well-rounded defensemen.
