Wolverines Roll to 11–0 Shutout of Rochester Christian at Home
From the opening faceoff, the University of Michigan–Dearborn men’s ice hockey team was in full control, erupting for four first-period goals and never looking back in a dominant shutout win Saturday night in Dearborn.

DEARBORN, Mich. -- The University of Michigan–Dearborn men's ice hockey team capped off its weekend series in emphatic fashion on Jan. 31, blanking Rochester Christian 11–0 behind balanced scoring, relentless puck pressure, and a perfect night in goal.
UM-Dearborn struck just 20 seconds into the game when Adam Czarnik opened the scoring off an assist from Dawson Nelson. The Wolverines kept coming, adding goals from Zak Januszkowski, Jake Emery, and David Dell to build a 4–0 lead by the end of the first period.
The offensive onslaught continued in the second. Matt Cunningham made it 5–0 early in the frame before Bailey Byrd scored a shorthanded goal at 5:18, finishing a play set up by Will Barrett. Ethan Marcola and Ryan Teets followed with goals less than a minute apart, and Januszkowski capped the period with his second goal of the night as UM-Dearborn carried a commanding 9–0 advantage into the third.
The Wolverines added two more goals in the final period, with Connor Hasse scoring at 12:50 and Carter Allen finishing off the scoring just 38 seconds later to close out the 11–0 victory.
UM-Dearborn spread its offense throughout the lineup, finishing with 11 goals from 11 different players and 17 total assists. Januszkowski led the way with two goals and an assist, while Byrd recorded a goal and two helpers. Nelson and Hartwell each contributed two assists as well.
In net, Trevor Heslop was flawless, stopping all 19 shots he faced to earn the shutout and improve to 10–3–1 on the season.
