FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team dropped a hard-fought overtime contest on the road Saturday night, falling 3–2 to Indiana Tech at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse.
After trailing 1–0 late in the first period, the Wolverines rallied to take a 2–1 lead early in the third before the Warriors tied it on the power play and won it in overtime.
Sophomore David Dell sparked the offense with a goal and an assist, while Joey Cibor also tallied a goal and assist. Zak Januszkowski and Jamieson Franz each added helpers for UM-Dearborn.
Goaltender Isaac Kolasa made 28 saves, keeping the Wolverines within striking distance throughout.
Indiana Tech's Joey Mocnik scored the game-winner 2:28 into overtime to lift the Warriors (5-3-2, 4-0-2 WHAC) to the win.
The Wolverines (4-6-0, 4-4-0 WHAC) were outshot 31–25 and went 0-for-2 on the power play, while Indiana Tech converted once on four opportunities.
