Wolverines Fall to High-Powered Saint Francis Offense

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team dropped a tough non-conference matchup on Thursday night, falling to a sharp-shooting University of Saint Francis (Ind.) squad by a 122-85 score at Garth Pleasant Arena
The Cougars' offense was clicking from start to finish, shooting 56.2% from the field and 47.8% from three-point range, while converting 29 of 36 free throws. Five players scored in double figures for Saint Francis, led by Marr Avance's 20 points and RJ Moore's 19-point, six-rebound effort.
UM-Dearborn showed balance offensively with 12 different players finding the scoring column. Jackson Reynolds led the Wolverines with 16 points, while Logan Hamama added 13 points and seven free throws off the bench. Devin McMorris chipped in 10 points, and Thomas Dillard IV pulled down five rebounds to go with six points.
The Wolverines shot 40.5% from the field but struggled from long range, connecting on 6-of-26 (23.1%) from three-point distance. Saint Francis held a 53-29 rebounding advantage and outscored UM-Dearborn 63-43 in the first half to take control early.
With the loss, Michigan-Dearborn moves to 1-2 overall, while Saint Francis improves to 3-2 on the season.
