Reynolds Nets First Team All-Conference Honors
J Jackson Reynolds achieved a remarkable season, emerging as the WHAC's leading scorer.
DEARBORN, Mich. -- University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball's Jackson Reynolds staked his claim as one of the most prolific scorers in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference this season, culminating in a First Team All-Conference nod for the junior guard. Three other Wolverines were named in the WHAC postseason awards release, highlighted by Thomas Dillard IV, who was named to the WHAC Champions of Character team.
Reynolds led the WHAC in total scoring, finishing the season with a career-high 653 points (24.2 ppg). The Canton, Mich. native shot the ball at a 46% clip from the field and 36.8% from behind the arc. Both of which are career-highs. Reynolds scored 20 or more points in 21 of his 27 games played and scored 30 or more 10 times. After three seasons in the Maize & Blue, Reynolds had amassed 1,635 points in his career, positioning himself in the top-3 on the all-time scoring list.
Thomas Dillard IV was named to the WHAC Champions of Character team give to a player on each team who most resembles the five core character values that the NAIA embraces. Along with Reynolds, Abdulrahman Helwa and Ali Homayed were named to the WHAC All-Academic team. The All-Academic Team consists of sophomores or above with a cumulative 3.25 GPA who have been at their school for one full year.
