Strong Shooting Night Lifts No. 19 Bethel Over Wolverines

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team wrapped up its weekend road trip on Saturday afternoon, falling 104-80 to No. 19 Bethel University (Ind.) in nonconference play.
The Wolverines (1-3 overall) had four players score in double figures, led by Luc Laketa, who poured in 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 4-for-5 from three-point range. Jackson Reynolds added 18 points and two assists, while Thomas Dillard IV scored 12 points with five rebounds and one block. Off the bench, Logan Hamama provided an efficient spark with 10 points in 16 minutes.
Bethel (3-0) showcased its depth and offensive firepower, with five players reaching double figures. Austin Cripe paced the Pilots with 18 points, while Alonas Peciulis recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Bethel shot an impressive 50.7% from the field and 81.3% at the line, out-rebounding UM-Dearborn 50-24.
Michigan-Dearborn connected on 44.3% of its shots, but couldn't slow down a Bethel offense that scored 55 points in the first half and maintained control throughout.
