WHAC Announces Volleyball Postseason Awards
Laura Chandler was named the Wolverines' Champions of Character nominee.
DEARBORN, Mich. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its 2025 Women's volleyball postseason awards, recognizing Laura Chandler of the University of Michigan-Dearborn on the WHAC Champions of Character Team, while four Wolverines— Chandler, Abigail Goldobin, Chelsea Houghton, and Nalani Schanz—earned WHAC All-Academic Team honors.
Chandler earned the Champions of Character distinction for embodying the NAIA's core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. The senior libero has been a steady leader for the Wolverines both on and off the court.
Chandler, Goldobin, Houghton, and Schanz were recognized for their excellence in the classroom, each maintaining at least a 3.25 GPA while achieving sophomore academic standing or higher.
These honors underscore UM-Dearborn's ongoing commitment to success beyond the scoreboard—celebrating the student-athletes who represent the program with distinction in competition, the classroom, and the community.
