Wolverines Take a Set but Fall to Madonna on the Road

LIVONIA, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's volleyball team showed flashes of strong play on Wednesday night but ultimately fell to Madonna University, 3-1 (25-15, 25-19, 20-25, 25-8), in WHAC action at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena.
After dropping the first two sets, the Wolverines came alive in the third, hitting an impressive .486 as a team to secure a 25-20 win. Monti Rotter and Alyssa Evans led the UM-Dearborn attack with 10 and 8 kills, respectively, while setter Nalani Schanz tallied 22 assists, eight digs, and a pair of service aces. Abigail Goldobin added nine kills, and Princess Savage chipped in five kills and two blocks.
Despite the strong third set, the Crusaders regained momentum in the fourth, hitting .452 to close out the match.
