Wolverines Drop Three Set Match Against RCU

DEARBORN, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's volleyball team showed steady improvement throughout the afternoon but ultimately fell in straight sets to Rochester Christian University, 3-0, on Wednesday inside The Fieldhouse. The Wolverines dropped the match by scores of 25-18, 25-15, and 25-21.
After a competitive opening set that saw UM-Dearborn hit .312, Rochester Christian's efficient attack helped them pull away late. The Warriors finished the match hitting .304 as a team, led by Chante Hudgins and Alivia Everitt, who each tallied 11 kills and four block assists. Setter Mackenzie Keefer paced the offense with 25 assists and added three block assists of her own.
For the Wolverines, Princess Savage and Abigail Goldobin powered the offense with nine kills apiece, while Savage also hit .300 on the night. Nalani Schanz directed the offense with 23 assists, and Laura Chandler anchored the back row with a team-high 12 digs.
