Wolverines Fall in Straight Sets to Indiana Tech
The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday against UNOH.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team dropped a WHAC road contest at Indiana Tech on Friday night, falling 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-15) at the Schaefer Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The Wolverines (2-12, 0-6 WHAC) battled throughout the match but couldn't slow down a balanced Indiana Tech attack. Offensively, Alyssa Evans, Monti Rotter, and Marisa Fetterley each tallied five kills to pace UM-Dearborn, while Laura Chandler added two kills, 10 digs, and an ace. Nalani Schanz directed the offense with 19 assists, and Joy Pryor chipped in two service aces.
Defensively, Chandler and Rotter led the way in the back row with 10 digs apiece, while Fetterley contributed at the net with one solo block and one block assist.
Indiana Tech (9-8, 3-3 WHAC) was led by Lauren Snyder, who posted 10 kills, while the Warriors finished with a .218 hitting percentage as a team.
