GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team fell in straight sets on the road Friday night, dropping a WHAC matchup to conference-leading Aquinas College (25-10, 25-15, 25-15).
The Saints' efficient attack proved too much for the Wolverines to handle, as Aquinas hit .344 on the night, including a .500 clip in the second set. UM-Dearborn (2-15, 0-9 WHAC) showed improvement as the match progressed but was unable to slow the balanced Aquinas offense.
Abigail Goldobin led the Wolverines with seven kills and a .200 hitting percentage, while Monti Rotter added five kills. Setter Sienna Potter recorded 16 assists, and Laura Chandler led the defense with nine digs.
Aquinas (17-4, 9-0 WHAC) was led by a deep rotation of contributors, highlighted by Taylor Reha, who totaled three kills, four aces, and 21 assists.
