Pero Headlines ACHA Honors as Wolverines Land Four on All-Athletic Teams, Hari Receives All-Rookie Nod
Cadence Pero Named ACHA Women's Division One Zoe Harris Player of the Year
TROY, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's ice hockey team earned national recognition following the release of the ACHA Division I Postseason Awards, highlighted by a historic individual honor and multiple All-Athletic Team selections.
Leading the way for the Wolverines, Cadence Pero was named the ACHA Women's Division I Player of the Year while also securing First Team All-Athletic honors. Pero delivered a dominant offensive campaign, appearing in 32 games and leading the nation with 33 assists and 59 total points, while adding 26 goals. Her playmaking ability and consistent production powered the Maize & Blue offense throughout the season, establishing her as the top player in the country.
Joining Pero on the First Team was standout goaltender Kenna Borso, who anchored the Wolverines between the pipes with one of the most impressive seasons in program history. Borso appeared in 24 games, posting a nation-leading 20 wins along with a stellar 1.34 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage. She also led the nation with 12 shutouts, showcasing her consistency and ability to control games at the highest level.
On the defensive end, the Wolverines placed two players on the Second Team All-Athletic squad, as Stephanie Hatch and Zoe Zaifman were both honored. Hatch appeared in 31 games and recorded 28 points on four goals and 24 assists while recording just four penalty minutes, demonstrating both offensive impact and disciplined play. Zaifman followed closely with 24 points in 32 games, tallying six goals and 18 assists while adding six penalty minutes, solidifying her role as a reliable two-way presence on the blue line.
Pallavi Hari was named to the ACHAs All-Rookie First Team. Hari set the UM-Dearborn rookie points record, tallying 41 points on 25 goals and 16 assists
With four All-Athletic selections and the nation's top individual award winner, the Wolverines' representation in the ACHA postseason honors underscores the program's continued rise and excellence on the national stage.
