DEARBORN, Mich. – The No. 6 UM-Dearborn women's hockey team controlled play from start to finish Saturday afternoon, powering past Lindenwood 5–1 to improve to 13-1-0 overall.
The Wolverines struck early, just 1:21 into the game, when Ashley Savage buried a feed from Zoe Zaifman and Charlise Wharram. UM-Dearborn carried that momentum into a dominant second period, where they broke the game open with three goals.
Cadence Pero led the surge, scoring twice—including a power-play tally—while Zoe Zaifman added her third assist of the day and Andi Evers and Stephanie Hatch each chipped in helpers. Nicole Hahn capped off the period with a goal at 14:06 to give the Wolverines a commanding 4–0 lead.
Lindenwood broke through midway through the third, but UM-Dearborn quickly answered. Evers added a power-play goal at 16:53—her third point of the game—to secure the win.
UM-Dearborn outshot Lindenwood 56–14, controlling puck possession and special teams while finishing 2-for-6 on the power play. Goaltender Nicole Alexander improved to 6–0, stopping 13 of 14 shots.
