DETROIT, Mich. – No. 6 University of Michigan-Dearborn delivered a dominant special-teams performance on Friday night, scoring four power-play goals to defeat the University of Michigan 5–1 at the Belfor Training Center. The win moves the Wolverines to 15–1-0 overall and 6–0-0 in conference play.
After a scoreless opening period, UM-Dearborn seized control with a relentless second-period attack. Pallavi Hari opened the scoring just 24 seconds into the frame on a power-play strike, set up by Cadence Pero and Stephanie Hatch. The goal ignited a surge that produced three more tallies before intermission.
Pero doubled the lead at 6:54, finishing a feed from Hatch. At 13:12, Andi Evers extended the advantage with a power-play marker assisted by Hari. UM-Dearborn capped its four-goal period at 16:29 when Hari buried her second of the night, this time off passes from Maya Ferracciolo and Pero.
Michigan broke through at 4:42 of the third on a shot from Ava Heung, but UM-Dearborn closed out the night with a late insurance goal. Nicole Hahn converted at 16:06, finishing a setup from Finnia O'Neill Di Mascio to restore the four-goal margin.
