No. 3 Wolverines Dominate Aquinas in 13–0 Victory
Nicole Hahn had four points on Saturday (Oct. 18).
BYRON CENTER, Mich. — The No. 3-ranked University of Michigan-Dearborn women's ice hockey team continued its undefeated start to the season in emphatic fashion, rolling past Aquinas College 13–0 on Saturday night at Southside Ice Arena. The Wolverines improved to 6–0–0 with the win, while the Saints fell to 0–8–1.
UM-Dearborn overwhelmed Aquinas from the opening faceoff, firing 28 shots in the first period alone and jumping out to a 5–0 lead. Grace Adriaanse opened the scoring less than three minutes into the game, and the Wolverines didn't look back. Goals from Andi Evers, Ashley Savage, Maya Ferracciolo, and Cadence Pero rounded out a dominant first frame as Michigan-Dearborn controlled every inch of the ice.
The second period saw no slowdown from the Wolverines' offense, with four more tallies extending the margin to 9–0. Pallavi Hari scored unassisted to start the period, followed by goals from Evers, Savage, and Ferracciolo—each continuing their multi-point nights. The Wolverines' speed and puck movement proved too much for the Saints, who struggled to register a single shot on goal in the first 20 minutes.
UM-Dearborn added another four goals in the final frame, highlighted by a balanced attack that saw Bella Metcalf, Maddison McIndoo, and Nicole Hahn each find the back of the net. Hahn finished with two goals and two assists to lead all scorers, while Charlise Wharram dished out three helpers in another impressive showing from the Wolverines' top line.
In total, Michigan-Dearborn outshot Aquinas 75–7, with all 18 skaters recording at least one shot. Goaltender Nicole Alexander earned her second shutout of the season, turning aside all seven attempts she faced.
